The course & your visit
Golf among the eucalypts at Goldfields
RACV Goldfields puts its golf into the bushland setting of Creswick, near Ballarat. The course follows the natural rises and slopes through native vegetation, while the resort brings accommodation, dining and activities into the same visit. It is a useful option when a round is one part of a longer break.

A round shaped by the land
Tony Cashmore’s design combines sloping fairways with bunkers and lagoons amongst tall eucalypts. RACV describes a course that follows the land’s natural peaks and slopes. The terrain is therefore a useful part of the picture when choosing a round here, alongside the wooded surroundings and water features.
If you are deciding whether to walk or hire a cart, discuss the route and your needs with the golf shop before booking. A course described in terms of its rises and slopes warrants that conversation, especially when keeping the day comfortable matters more than getting a particular tee time.

Practise before you head out
A practice fairway, putting green and warm-up nets give you several ways to prepare for the round. The golf shop also lists clubs, carts and shoes for hire. If you are arriving without equipment, ask the shop what is available in your size and which set suits your visit.
The published booking page offers online tee times and a direct golf-shop number, with both member and non-member products listed. Check the applicable visitor option when booking, and read the dress requirements before packing.
Build the stay around more than golf
For a group with different interests, the surrounding resort is a significant part of the appeal. Its facilities include tennis courts, mountain-bike trails, a heated outdoor pool and the ArtHouse gallery. There are activities to discuss with the resort while the golfers organise their tee times; check which facilities are included in your stay and which require a reservation.
Accommodation ranges from resort rooms to studios and family-room options. The choice matters if some of the group want space to settle in while others play. Book the room and golf arrangements together where possible, so that the visit works for everyone travelling.

Food and drinks after golf
Three Founders Restaurant and Springs Bar & Terrace give the stay a dining plan as well as a golf plan. RACV describes restaurant dining at Three Founders and more casual meals and drinks at Springs. Check service times and make the dining reservation alongside your round if eating together is part of the trip.
