Wallaroo: greens where the peninsula plays scrapes
Wallaroo Golf Club at 2A Cornish Terrace plays a full eighteen holes of greens — a genuine distinction on a peninsula of sand scrapes — with watered fairways and tees in the seaside town the club puts 90 minutes north-west of Adelaide. The golf office sits inside the Wallaroo Community Sports Club alongside bowls and croquet, and visitors are invited straight into any competition. The site’s own headline says it plainly: the full eighteen holes of greens are open for play.

Competitions, fees and the QR code
The winter season runs April to September: women’s Tuesdays at 9:30, a Tuesday nine-hole event for beginners, members and visitors, Thursday practice from 9am, and men’s Wednesdays and Saturdays at noon. Green fees cover nine or eighteen holes with under-12s free; a dozen electric carts plus push carts and club sets are hired through an office open 8am to 5pm daily — or by QR code at the office door when unattended. Competition fees apply on top for men and women.
Practical notes from the visitors’ page: carry a sand bucket from the tenth, note the on-course toilet by the 8th and 11th tees, and admire the indoor sea-blue bowls arena when buying snacks and drinks in the Community Club. Bookings and enquiries go to 0457 999 749 or the club’s bookings email.
