Willunga: public golf with a pro tournament
Willunga Golf Course on St Peters Terrace is a City of Onkaparinga public eighteen — tree-lined fairways, grass greens, historic gums and a meandering creek, with views over the vines and hills. The venue puts itself 40 minutes from central Adelaide. It is also, since 2026, tournament ground: home of the Players Series South Australia, where men and women contest one field and one purse.

The course and practice ground
Eighteen public holes play through the gum-and-creek setting at 5,428 metres to par 70, available at all times except Saturdays before 1pm — everyone welcome, bookings preferred. The driving range needs no booking when the club is open, a large practice putting green anchors the short game, and a second green for chipping runs along the seventh fairway on quiet days. The local club professional gives private lessons and the pro shop stocks clubs and accessories.
The fee structure covers weekday and weekend play over nine or eighteen, concessions, members’ guests, juniors and a seasonal twilight rate — plus course-access memberships from seven-day to junior and family tiers and multi-visit passes. Competition entry costs extra, and all competition players must belong to a club.

The Players Series takeover
From 22 to 25 October 2026 the fairways host the best men and women from across Australia plus rising internationals in a single mixed field — the Webex-backed series with a modern, inclusive, nationally broadcast twist. The venue frames it as a free family festival beyond the ropes: Fleurieu food and wine, live music and kids’ activities, with the farmers market, cellar doors and beaches as the weekend’s undercard.

Bistro and practical detail
The licensed bistro opens to the public six days a week in a freshly renovated room — closed Mondays, open late Fridays, with group bookings available outside hours — and hosts parties, celebrations and weddings with catering and disabled access.
